This summer Ruth Hebden from Marske Hall Disability met with our fabulous young people. She said “I shared with them all the things the residents needed at our home and their enthusiasm was amazing. They decided to work together as 5 Teams to try to raise £10,000 to built a Sensory Room. Over the next few weeks each wave visited our home and spent time with the residents to get to know them and their needs. During that time they organised various fundraising events in the community and raised sponsorship from local businesses, families and friends. I was really shocked when they announced at the final fundraising event that they had smashed their target and raised £12,540. The Sensory Room is an amazing addition to our home and I want to thank all the young people and staff for a brilliant Summer".
